Enjoy a unique day on the ancient Xanthos River — known today as the Eşen — on our river canoeing tour.
Route: Setting off from Patara, we paddle down the Eşen River to Çayağzı, where the river meets the Mediterranean.
The experience: A calm paddle through ice-cold fresh water, lush greenery and ancient Lycian land. Regular breaks give you the chance to swim and try a mud bath.
Finish: The tour ends near Patara Beach, the longest stretch of sand in Turkey.
A refreshing day in the middle of nature awaits you.

Activity Program

The programme starts at 09:00 with a comfortable road transfer to Patara, followed by a briefing from the guide. We then paddle down the ancient Xanthos River (today's Eşen). Regular breaks include tea and the chance to try a mud bath. After lunch the journey continues from where we left off. The route ends at Çayağzı, where the Eşen meets the Mediterranean. There is a final swim before we head back to Kaş. The day finishes at 18:00. A calm paddle through ice-cold fresh water, lush greenery and ancient Lycian land awaits you.
